Re: Rethinking plans for Limestone on graduation night- help!

by Casandra C » Wed Apr 08, 2009 2:00 pm

Thanks to all who've made suggestions and given so much thought to our party- I knew this would be the place to ask!

I've taken Gayle's suggestion (which was agreed upon by several others as well)- I went to Z's Fusion for lunch on Monday. It's across the street from the convention center, has a menu that I think will feed all the various tastes in our party (now 7), and I think that at dinner it will very much have the celebratory vibe we were desiring. Plus, a wine list with so many interesting choices under $40 can't be bad... and it's perhaps a $7 taxi from my house. How could we go wrong?

I'm going to call Limestone about adapting FMC to pescetarians... and if the answer is go, my husband and I will make our own special trip for two.

Thank you all again!

I had another great "Lunch Lesson" at Limestone today. I took time to talk to Chef Jim Gerhardt about two of the items I have made suppositions about on this board.

#1. In regards to the saltiness that Casandra had experienced at lunch several weeks ago, my hunch was right, a new chef has been hired and he does use a heavier hand with the salt than does Chef Jim or did Chef Mike. Chef Gebhardt has been working with him to remedy the situation and feels he has made great progress.

#2. The "Feed Me Chef" is pescatarian friendly, inasmuch as there is always at least one seafood option for appropriate courses.

So go for it, Cassandra. You are going to love it!
