I found one lonely post on the whole internet to validate my admittedly sketchy memory:
"I think the second most memorable venue was Charlie's Pizza in the highlands. This is where Spot played its first paying show. Charlie's was a dump of a pizza parlor about a half a block down from Tewligans. The owner was a great old guy who loved to see the punks hanging out in his place. They had your normal pizza parlor fare, sandwiches, garlic bread that you would taste three days later, but the specialty of the house was the "peanut butter pizza." On the crust they spread a layer of peanut butter and then sauce and cheese and so on. It sounds kind of gross, but It was good, I remember Duncan Barlow and Jason Graff from Spot's sister band Crisis (and later Endpoint) always hanging out at Charlie's and always eating the peanut butter pizza. I remember the local tough was a guy named "Finko" who scared the crap out of me. He was a part time delivery boy for Charlie's that picked fights with anyone at any time, he was generally drunk always menacing."
