Thanks for the suggestions, Carolyne! The main thing here is that we don't want anybody to confuse us with the CJ, so we're trying to avoid that staid, ponderous look. :D

Mary is still working over the design for the forum and the Website, and much is still a work in progress. The pizza squadron may not stay ... we might come up with something crazier still!

Carolyne Davis wrote:The colors don't bother me at all, but the giant flying pizza always did. Now, we're inundated with multiple flying giant pizzas!!! They probably wouldn't bother me if they didn't remind me of the frozen cardboard variety. Not to mention the fear I now have of being annilhiated by a large, greasy pepperoni slice falling on me when I take my afternoon walk across the Second Street bridge!!! LOL I apologize to whichever pizza maker I have just offended, but with the amazing variety of foods Louisville has to offer, why pizza? Why not switch it up every six months or so? You could have a contest (no prize necessary) to see if we can guess from which restaurant the food belongs!!

Maybe a battle between the Hot Brown's and the Benedictine's?

Scene: Strategy session, Benedictine's war room under Louis XVI statue, 6th & Jefferson.

Speaker: Jenny Benedict: Ghostly apparition, ex-caterer.

In attendance: The spirits of Mildred J. Hill & George Garvin Brown

Jenny Benedict:

"Thank you Mildred for that lovely rendition of your Happy Birthday song, one never tires of hearing it and thank you George for bringing the Old Forester, that certainly helped Mildred's pitch. As you know, our numbers have dwindled over the years in this bloody contest with the Hot Browns. I'm afraid we have lost the battle in taste alone. Certainly our side was clearly at a disadvantage early on and our core believers were clearly rattled by the defection of Chief Justice Brandeis. I've decided to take Col. Sander's offer of that lovely room at Waverly Hills he has been offering and bide a time. As you know.......(sound of commotion in background)

The room fills with the spirits of

Enid Yandell
Johnny Unitas
James Breckinridge Speed
Foster Brooks
George Rogers Clark
Joe Creason
George Devol
Irene Dunn
Billy Gilbert
Norris Embry
Lionel Hampton

Enid Yandell: Wait! Before you admit defeat! Henry Hull has secured us a large space under my Daniel Boone statue in Cherokee Park. From there we can rejuvenate our battle! I've got the Marquis de LaFayette scheduled to give his Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite speech.....you know how that fires 'em up! Victor Mature has promised to wear his Samson & Delilah costume. Wilson Pickett and Pee Wee Reese are scraping up a band. Dr. Thompson said something about picking a few things up in Vegas to see us through. Surely, we cant quit now!

Jenny Benedict: I'm touched!!!!! To War!!!!!! But have a sandwich before you go!
