I also thought the same "How do they stay open" with such overhead and seasonal sales. I thought the Shelbyville Rd. twisters was owned or partially owned by the son of the local Panera Bread Franchise owner and that they had anticipated similar expansion with the custard concept.

How much do you spend on dessert vs breakfast, lunch and dinner? That was an awfully expensive property to be supported by custard sales alone and I am suprised that they lasted this long. My two cents.

Where was there a Twister's on Shelbyville road? The only one I was aware of was on Westport road across from Cheddars. The only custard place I know of on Shelbyville road is the Starlight at the corner of Hubbards in Saint Matthew's.

Since Starlight & Twisters owned by same people, there's a tendency to call them by the same name. Just a slip of the fingers . . .

Went by Starlight Frozen Custard, and all the lights were out. I called but all I got was a generic answering machine message. I hope Starlight did not close too...

Went by Starlight today, and they are open (and fairly busy)!!!!!

It probably was due to the fact that I passed by last night around 9. Glad to see they are still going!!!
