Maido also expanded their outdoor dining last year. I like the upper ddeck where you can see everyone and everything.

I'm up for most any al fresco experience but CQ is close to me and also at the top of my list. I can hardly wait for the temps to rise so I can go enjoy the decks as the breeze wends its way through the old trees and the mighty Ohio drifts off into the sunset. I also like dining on my balcony that overlooks a neat little valley filled with trees and has a creek running through it.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

I will post this because it was brought up, I would not otherwise break the rules for my own benefit.

If breakfast and lunch is your thing.... Meridian Cafe has five BIG picnic tables outside that are now open.

They are BIG, and sometimes we get just two people sitting there, and if there is no "wait" you are welcome to ask if you can share usually folks will scoot right over!
Check inside with one of us thought just in case!

Bon Appetit!

I can't believe that I forgot to mention Dairy Kastle in my original post! The brats are actually excellent, and I'm a huge fan of the Fat Elvis (banana and peanut butter) milk shake.

It's especially nice on Thursdays, when right in front of Martini's (and Mitchell's et al) they have entertainment . . . again, relax, have decent food (not gourmet, but decent), good drink, and watch the people while listening to the music.

I like Martini's alot. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. I heard they were going independant...is that the case?

I really like the bar menu at Martini's. 6 options for just $2.95 each.

Bristol in the Highlands has a neat patio. I think Ramsi's does too. Doesn't Baxter Station open their patio??

Yes, Paul, they did have tables outside last year (I'm referring to Summer '08). I distinctly remember going there with a larger group, and having to decide between waiting an hour to an hour and a half to eat inside, or sitting immediately outside (it was one of those VERY warm evenings, like still close to 90 at 7:00). We chose outside, I ordered something a little too spicy, and damn near broke out in a full body sweat right there on the sidewalk. Lots of forehead mopping going on, and no matter how many mojitos I put away, it just got worse. Not my most pleasant meal, but it was my fault.

It is also 3/4 covered with a canopy if the weather is rainy, customers are still able to eat outside without getting wet. We would love to have you dine at our place.

I do like the back patio at Studios...its been a little while since we sat there, but I really like the canvas wall hangings you could sign!! Tremendous stuffed burgers!!

And Anderson takes great care of forum members. I don't believe I posted this here, but a few weeks ago my sister in law and 4 of her friends from Philadelphia were in town. We headed to Asiatique that Friday night with a group of probably 15 or so, and the bar area and Lounge-A were both packed. Anderson kindly ushered us into the chef's tasting room (I believe that was what it was called) so we could all sit together. We really appreciated the gesture.

I should also add that if he's in control of the music, prepare for a great time. You won't often hear Flight of the Conchords played in that kind of atmosphere. Good times.

Ditto that. I love that deck. There's a feeling of eating in the middle of a forest.
