This is probably unfair, but when I look at the fish at Doll's and the fish at Seafood Connection, I generally just go on over to Seafood Connection. In general I admire Doll's and really love the way they've come upscale to address a different market niche than Kroger, but, I dunno, the fish in there just doesn't always look to me like it just got here.

I agree and that's why I look at it real good - salmon and trout are the only things I consider and not on a Monday.

We go to Seafood Connection and Dolls. Honestly, every time I go to Whole Foods to look at fish, I'm underwhelmed. I would appreciate more than Tilapia for $15 bucks a pound. But thats just my opinion.

Try Leila Gentle's Stan's Fish Sandwich. She's open until 8 and keeps a small reach in for salmon, shrimp, etc... Or you can call ahead and hear what's available with prices on Stan's Fish Line 895-0167. You can also reserve your order on the line. At one point Stan and Leila owned a seafood shop next door to the sandwich shop. When they closed it they created the seafood hot line. She may be working with wild caught only. Hope this helps. CD
