If anyone feels the private message system is being abused, please contact me privately, preferably with a copy of the message including header information. I don't want our system being used this way.

But I also don't care for semi-veiled charges like this that only offer one side of a story, Steve. Better to handle this kind of dispute off-forum, or bring me in privately if you feel it's important to report a concern.

Understood. I'll explain what happened in private.

Let me know if you ever lose your job so I can throw a party.

Yes I am.

There are other restaurants to work at, including the one that will replace it.

I want to apologize.

Even though I never said that I was happy that anyone was losing their job, I realize that this cheeky response might have given some that impression. I was just miffed about Todd putting words into my mouth that I would have never muttered in all me born days. So, I snapped. Sorry.

They closed today at 4 pm. We stopped in to maybe have one last dinner there tonight, but we were too late.

I'm sure I speak for all the well-intentioned people here when I say thank you for explaining that we misunderstood what you said. I'd like to think that most of us aren't quick to misjudge someone's intentions. I can see how your statement was taken as offensive, since I took it that way myself. However, I appreciate the apology and explanation, and I'm sure most others do as well.

I ate there once and would not go back, now I don't have to worry.

As for as finding a job that fits.stay away from the paper if you can.
Talk to people in food service you'll find a fit.

Just what we don't need in the Hurstborne Pkwy cooridor.....

ANOTHER Italian eatery.......we've already got Carraba's, Macaroni Grill, Lentini's is coming in soon, and Panara is there, along with Fazolli's.......sounds like a great marketing plan to me.......How much Pasta do we need?
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Does Fazoli's count as "Italian"? :)

There are different regions of Italy and thus approaches to Italian cooking. I've been to both Carrabbas and Macaroni Grill, and their menus are very different. Just some food for thought. It ain't that bad.

I can confirm that, and add that Bourbon Bros. Barbecue on Brownsboro is also boarded up today.

What's with all these places shutting down one week before Derby? You'd think they would want to at least ride a wave out on their last week.

Bahama Breeze Closed

by David Lange » Mon Apr 30, 2007 2:11 pm

It's true Bahama Breeze is no more. The regional manager told me that Darden closed some of their low performing locations and Louisville was on that list.

I heard that Bourbon Bros is moving across the street into the building that briefly held Palapa last, I think, and several other places, most notably Shariat's. I was having taco's at Lolita's several weeks ago, and the owner of Bourbon Bros. came in and was talking about the big move.

Ah, great news! I couldn't believe it, because Bourbon Bros. is so good. That's great news for them ... but I wish they had publicized it better. Just a post on this forum would have been perfect.
