For a birthday treat, I had Nord's bacon doughnut this morning. OMG! Insanely delicious! I want to start every day with one of those.

I wonder if this is a tribute of sorts to the famous Voodoo Doughnut in Portland, Oregon? They have a maple doughnut with bacon as well.

Either way, I'm glad Nord's is making it happen here!

Maybe they got the idea from Voodoo. Who cares? I'm just glad it exists! :)

That sounds kind of delicious. Just a LITTLE bit.

My daughter brought me a maple bacon doughnut from Nord's and it was to die for! I think bacon is the ultimate comfort food! :D

There was a previous thread that mentioned Mo's Bacon Bar (milk chocolate, smoked bacon, and smoked salt). I recently found these for sale at the Cost Plus World Market on Shelbyville Rd for 6.99.

In the interest of Baconophiles (including myself), I adulterated Martha Stewart's recipe for Cowboy Cookies to include white chocolate instead of dark, and I added 1-12-oz package of thick-sliced, center-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled and 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper. I haven't tried the donuts, but the cookies were ridiculous.

FYI: Creation Gardens sells country ham bacon.
Bacon is meat candy.

I was at the BBC Tap Room last night and a guy came in with double chocolate chunk bacon cookies double stacked and then dipped in BBC bourbon barrel stout chocolate dipping sauce. I cant remember the guys name but Im pretty sure he works over at Mikes Best. If memory serves me correct,he replaced a portion of the butter in the recipe with bacon fat.

And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Carla,

It's in with the spices, clear container with a black lid. The salt is an orange color. I picked mine up yesterday at Kroger on Hubbards Ln. Can't wait to try it!
