brown-and-serve cibatta bread and French loaves are also excellent. I keep those in the freezer at all times. From frozen to browned and on the table for the baguettes, 6 minutes. The cibatta (individuals) do fine in the toaster, sliced first.

The dish soap tends to leave a residue on plastic, such as water bottles.

The potato chips (kettle) are a little too salty for my tastes, but I do like the tortilla chips.

And the packaged cookies (not the "speciality" stuff) are a little too buttery for me.

The cheeses are excellent as are the breads. Really it's all pretty darn acceptable if not better.
Thinks the frosty mug is the low point in American history.

I noticed there wasn't anyone singing the praises of Wal-Mart....

They (and Sam's) actually have one food thing we like. Their rotissere chickens are very good. Both better tasting and cheaper than any other so I've found in town.

Aldi & Costo for the win!

Wal-Mart & Sam's for the loss.

I heart Aldi.

I will no longer buy carrots, romaine, baby spinach, or avocadoes at Kroger.

If you haven't tried the chocolate bar Dark Chocolate and Nuts, get one. I haven't found a better chocolate bar for $1.89. Unfortunately, by kids found my stash, and I had to move it--and restock. . .

If you're a self-tanner, Aldi is your store. $3.99. Smells good, too.

You chocolate lovers need to try the Moser Roth chocolate bars at Aldi's.
Image

You'll find them on the right in the first aisle, near the wine AND at the checkout lanes. Milk chocolate, 70% dark choclate and milk chocolate with toffee bits. AWESOME!

Do a Google search on "Moser Roth Chocolate" and you'll find this same product sold for a lot more in "specialty" on-line stores.

I went to Aldi today in Jeff. The store is VERY clean. Really small, but, in a way that might be good for me, since i go to the store with all my children. There is not all that fluff for them to see and beg for.

I got milk for 99 cents, from what i learned that is not the usual price. But they told me it is still normally cheaper than Kroger and Wal-Mart. Shredded Cheese was 2.59 for a 16 oz, kroger is usually double that. I use 5+ gallons of milk a week and a lot of shredded cheese in salads, casseroles, tacos, pizza, etc. Those two savings alone are worth it. Ground beef was 1.79 for 80/20, we buy that kind for burgers.

My best buy were some really pretty avocados, they were 99 cents each. They are not ripe, but they will ripen in a few days here at home.

I bought the kids some cookies so they could taste them, found a couple of other things that we want to taste and see what we think of the quality.

I had forgotten my cc in the car and they were very nice to me while my daughter ran out and got it. The lady behind me asked if i was an Aldi customer, i said no, first timer. She welcomed me, along with the cashier and the manager, and many other customers. lol..... It is a very small store and seems very personable.....i think we will be back.....
