Re: Wild Eggs-is it still always packed?

A few months ago I went into wild eggs about 9:30 am on a monday and there was a wait; I walked out. Went back a few weeks ago about 10:30 on a monday and was the only person seated at the 'breakfast bar.' I was wondering if I should have asked for a table for one, but by the time I was served the place was full again. The food was good, but it is probably packed all the time because the table service makes it such a great place to linger. I was given my own small pitcher of ice water, my own carafe of coffee, and my own pitcher of cream, and had access to three local newspapers. Definitely a place to be if you have no place to be in a hurry. BTW, I had the traditional Eggs Benedict. It was well executed, but did not knock my socks off. Next time I will definitely try the southwestern variation that they serve. The patrons near me that ordered the pancakes certainly seemed to have made a winning choice.

We had a late breakfast there yesterday, about 11 am. And it was packed. And gooood. DH had the blueberry pancakes and was shocked at the size of the 'cakes. I had the stuffed French Toast and it was quite yummy.
