Thank you Deb for mentioning Volare.
Our 1/2 price wine program is EVERY NIGHT at the bar or the tables in the bar area. You may also enjoy the live music on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturdays. Check out the web-site for 1/2 price wine LIST

Seriously, Robin...I know you hate stickies, but what about a faq page dedicated to stickies? This wine question comes up every other month, and there are others...what about a forum with stickies we could refer people to? That wouldn't muck up the forum at all...

We could also do restaurants open on sundays or mondays, we could do holidays, etc...I'm sure there's a place for something like this.

The problem with stickies is that by the time you have five or six of them, nobody notices the new posts. I guess we could open a separate forum for frequently asked questions, but, I dunno. Is the system really broken? By the time the question comes up for another round, there are always new answers.

I believe The Bristol still has zero mark-up on their wine list 24/7.
That is always a sweet deal.

I totally agree that stickies hide the new posts.

I've been really happy with the search engine for this forum. Unlike a sticky, the answer is not always in one place, but, with a little search knowledge, the search function will provide answers to almost any possible FAQ that has been covered by the forum.
Thinks the frosty mug is the low point in American history.

Before we went to SoWal last week, I noticed their special restaurant forum to enter restaurant favorites for a possible dining out guide. It was a great because it got us to go into places we hadn't tried yet - and they were accurate reviews. I wish there were a way to condense many pages of things like this other than copy/paste to WORD. Any hints?

(SoWal has a wonderful local dining out scene. Stay anywhere along Scenic 30A. Walk. Ride a bike. Eat out locally. Shop locally. There are only 1 1/2 Starbucks, 2 Tom Thumbs, 1 Publix, 1 Subway along this whole crescent shape route. Nothing commercial within the half circle - mostly state/national park area land. Biggest residential, non-tourist, tasteful part of Florida area I know of. Norton Commons is based on Seaside. The Truman Show setting. Atlantic Beach on the east coast was similar. Recommend going anytime of the year. This time of the year was great for spending more time on the bikes and walking and eating out since it was cooler. Easier to catch the sunrises and sunsets with shorter days:-)

I believe Maggie's on Taylorsville Road in J-town still does a 1/2 price wine night on Wednesdays too. Yum - my beloved 7 Deadly Zins at a discount!!!

At Seviche we've been doing "Seviche Sundays" since last summer... half-price wine, margarita and mojito specials and 1/2 price seviches. We're open from 5-9 on sundays!

Dear Majid: I am coming to Volare tonight with several folks and wondering if the 1/2 price wine ends at a certain time? We are arriving around 8 and should have 10-15 people meeting at the bar. Thanks so much and look forward to tonight! :D

Sue - this apparently changed a few weeks ago. I ordered a wine off of an old menu and they were gracious enough to honor the price, but the current menus have a regular mark-up - and what looked like a bigger selection.
