I think that just sealed the deal on where I'm going for Valentine's Day. I was torn between Varanese and Mojito's (both places we've been wanting to try), but an aphrodisiac menu is too much fun to pass up. I'll call and make reservations tomorrow.

I just made a reservation at Equus for V-Day. They are having 4 course set menu for $15 per person. I believe the guy said salad, crab cakes, fish or steak, and flourless chocolate cake. I think this is an awesome deal.

That makes more sense. The wife actually made the call/reservation. I guess I'll put her in time-out. Damn, that sucks!

To your wife's defense, the man who answered was kind of a mumbler, I had to have him repeat the price. Don't kill the messenger. I would have hated if you showed up that night thinking you were spending 30.00 and then the check came. V day would have come to a sour end......

We are having a Chocolate Festival up here at French Lick on Valentine's Day from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Its only 10 bucks a head.
There is also a "retro nightclub kinda vibe" Valentine's Dance that night starting at 8 p.m. Its a steal at $25 a couple.

I just found an event on Rainbow Blossom's website. They're going to have 2 workshops in the early afternoon by Louisville's Shine that deals with connecting to your loved one through touch. Shine will also be offering complimentary chair massages.

The Jing Masters will be talking about chocolate, and will have samples of their creations on hand.

The whole event is from 12-4, and more details can be found at Rainbow Blossom's website:

This is certainly one step up, I could hardly believe what I was hearing! I honestly couldn't imagine doing this...

I would totally get married in a White Castle. I didn't care a thing about my ceremony when I got married, I just wanted to do the deed and then have a big, drunken party afterward.

I wouldn't like the media attention, but it might be worth it for all the freebies.

I called Seviche last week about Valentine's Day. Not sure about lunch, but I was told they are not offering anything for Valentine's Day other than their typical daily specials.

Hello Everyone!

Sake Blue Japanese Bistro will be celebrating Valentine's Day in a special way as well. There will be live jazz music performed by the former members of Louisville's own Java Men (Craig Wagner, guitarist). With a reservation, your date will receive a beautiful red rose.

For reservations, please give us a call at 502.708.1500.

I forgot to mention that Sake Blue is open all day on Valentine's Day from 11:30am-11pm.

We will be offering a special Valentine's Day menu along with our regular dinner menu on this day.

Thanks!
