OK - We'll make it happen!

by Melissa Richards-Person » Sat Apr 28, 2007 8:46 pm

So we will make this happen!

When I head up to T-town, I'll bring back a cooler full of dogs, and the goodies that you can't buy at Fresh Mkt, Meijers or the like; I'll stuff the dogs in the freezer, and we will set a date. Then the rest of you can round up a few dozen jars of pickles & peppers, bring sides, and we will pick up a location and Rebecca can locate her old uniform shirt and apron (turns out she use to work at the 2nd Packo's location)

I'll keep everyone posted!!!! Maybe we should time this for the next time the Toledo Mudhens come to town to play the Bats?!

Sounds like a total plan to me. By the way, I picked up some Packo's hot pickles and peppers at Meijer and they ROCK ASS. I look forward to the cookout.

Not until July 7, at a quick glance. That's an awful long time to wait! :)

Tailgating at the Bat's game on May 7th could be cool!?.....Image Maybe snack on Toledo's finest and then watch the game and eat(and help Robin review) some Centerplate food. I noticed that they are offering burritos this year on the third baseline side kiosks.

Won't wait until July, but May 7th too early

by Melissa Richards-Person » Sun Apr 29, 2007 3:22 pm

Love Dan's suggestion, but I can't get to Toledo before May 7th. That would mean I'd have to leave town Derby weekend, and while many would love to do that, I'm sure, hubby and I are going to Oaks and hosting a Derby party.

So, I hear ya Robin, we won't wait until July! I'm hoping to visit the folks for Mother's Day, so if I do so, I will load up the cooler and then we can sent a much sooner date. I will keep the forum posted.

Doogy - glad you enjoyed the Pickles :D

I love pickles and I love hot and spicy food, so this is one of those perfect combinations. I'm so pleased you mentioned them here. Thanks. :D

Almost sure Dolls carries them!

by Christian Dreisbach » Thu May 03, 2007 12:34 pm

I went to college in Bowling Green Ohio and they were everywhere...it always catches my eye when I see them and I'm pretty sure Dolls has them- or at least the pickle/pepper mix.

How about end of May?

by Melissa Richards-Person » Tue May 08, 2007 9:24 am

I am headed to Toledo this weekend to visit Mom (and Dad) for Mother's Day, and will load up on Dogs! So, I'll be ready for a cookout anytime after. How about toward the end of May?

Anytime but Memorial Weekend is good for us, as we are headed to the annual Memorial Weekend in Wine Country in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.

End of May or beginning of June are good suggestions.....
