I figured I might as well post this here. We tried the Ramsi's brunch buffet for the first time on Sunday. At $13 per person, which includes apple cider and orange juice, the price is pretty good. The brunch selection was impressive, ranging from typical brunch items (eggs benedict, bacon, sausage) to vegan pancakes to tortellini and lima beans.
I tried a bit of everything. The eggs benedict were good, but it just isn't a dish that lends itself well to sitting in a buffet line. I think it would have been very good had it been "just-made," but the Hollendaise was losing its emulsion a bit and starting to come apart, and the english muffin was getting a bit soggy. The beef brisquit with carrots (hint of cinnamon) was good, and would have been better if the beef was a bit more tender. The bisquits and gravy were fantastic, and the lima beans were among the best I've ever had (I really like lima beans, especially the big fat ones). My wife had some of the same plus the vegan pancakes, which she said were a bit tough, though good. The apple cider was VERY good and tasted very fresh.
Service was acceptable for a buffet. Our waitress was very cheerful, but she seemed a bit overburdened, and it took awhile to get the check (they were booming and I think only two servers were handling the main dining room). All in all, I would definitely go back, especially when we don't have time for a full sit-down brunch.
EDIT: Brisquit = brisket. Whoops. Brisquit makes me think of maybe brisket on a bisquit?
