Volare has the best veal that I've had in this city.

Thanks for that information. I've just never made it to Volare yet....now I have a motivation to get over there.

If you like desserts at all, you must try the ones at Volare. All very good and beautiful presentation. Made in house. Some of the very best in Louisville.

Oh yeah, while Josh Moore is an excellent chef (I love his entrees and Volare is one of my very favorite restaurnats.), his love is desserts. As Marsha well knows, I am not a big sweet eater, but I could die for a serving of his panna cotta. (Marsha's coconuts cake is a close second.) In fact when I have needed to serve a dessert that is what I gotten.

Porcini is a step above them both in food and in price, but if you order selectively, it doesn't need to be pricey. Wemt to Parellas once and was not impressed- kinda found it to be a step above Fazoli's- for me their food is too bland.

We were looking for some Italian tonight and were deciding between Melillo's, Comeback Inn, Porcini and Parella's. We threw out CI because we wanted something a little closer to home and I decided to support a restaurant that is staying in business and relatively inexpensive so we opted for Parella's. We had the bruschetta pomodoro as as appetizer that was delicious, house salads with the house dressing were solid, the meatball appetizer as an entree and the baked spaghetti. We finsihed off with some homemade tiramusu and spimoni for dessert. I would rate Parella's maybe 1/2 a step below Melillo's and Comeback Inn. We order in Fazoli's for lunch at work a couple of times a month so to say Parella's is comparable to Fazoli's is crazy IMO. The Spaghetti Factory may be one step above Fazoli's but c'mon, Parella's and Fazoli's are not even in the same league.
