I dunno, re: the Le Relais incident, you can't really help what shows up when you bring delicious smelling food into an outdoors environment. I think it's pretty lousy of anyone to fault Le Relais for that, if you choose to dine on a patio, then you choose to accept the elements, one of which are the creatures that actually live outside.

As for the Red Star incident, I've never been there, but I know that anywhere there's large amounts of food, pests will show up eventually no matter how clean you are. I remember when a couple mice set up shop in Dietrichs around '99 or '00, it was unfortunate, but we hired an exterminator and everything was taken care of. I guess what I'm trying to say is that while I can see how it would gross you out, chances are great that the place is just as unhappy about it as you are and are doing everything they can to remedy the situation.
