They sure the hell did and their dish looked just like this. And let no one forget that, my dear.

I agree with Will, Westport General Store does have one of the best hot browns around, I know they make the mornay sauce daily.

I judged that Throwdown, with Chef Todd from the Seelbach. The Castros' entry didn't look like that at all.

It was a VERY close contest. Both were very good, but Flay's bacon was too smoky, so much so that it smelled like a dirty fireplace. The Castros' version had super flavor, but they made what I considered the mistake of "elegantifying" it into something like little old lady tearoom food, complete with trimming the crusts off the toast points.

Frankly, for that reason, I almost gave my vote to Flay. In the end, though, Todd and I agreed: The Castros used a better quality bread, and that - plus Flay's funky bacon - made the difference.

But that Brown Hotel photo bears no real resemblance to what was on the Throwdown.

(By the way, it's a waste of bandwidth to put the same photo twice in the same thread. It also may be a violation of the Brown's copyright to cop their photo without their permission.)

I'm not that worked up about it. I am, however, asking you in future to reconsider the practice of loading down posts with multiple images, especially those pulled from other sites rather than your own work; and doubly to reconsider multiply posting the same pictures and posts rather than simply referring to them by link. It's just good netiquette, the kind of thing I would have expected an IT professional to know without being reminded.
