A distant 3rd, The Back Door, in the Highlands.

Make the Back Door a distant tenth. They have made some changes for the worse in the kitchen, including partially pre-frying the wings and holding them in a drawer before their second time in the fryer. The sauce is also different and inconsistent. Try Roosters on Preston for the biggest wing for the buck. Same price as Hooter's but larger and more choices in sauce. They also have a 40 cent wing night, I think it is Monday. I really liked Rumors wings, but they are pricey and the drive is far for me.

Baxter Station, but they should be served with a shower instead of extra napkins.

I must have hit it twice on off days ... I thought the chicken wings were just okay, and the turkey wings didn't make me want them again.

Alas, that would spoil the whole anonymity thing, Chuck!

Tell you what, though ... I'll definitely get out that way for another try.

I had some Turkey Joe's the other day and I'll have to say they are somewhat better than the Wings and Things that was in that spot before, especially the boneless...

Indigo Joe's on Westport has some decent wings...probably better than BW's...

A coal-fired pizza place down here does the wings int the oven, very simply with just some olive oil and fresh rosemary. These have become the only wings I eat--anyone in L-ville doing them this way? I don't want battered ever again...even fried..just these roasted wings..

I've always been particularly fond of the wings at Spring Street, but I actually liked the last batch I had the Back Door, too.

Bambi Bar. Get 'em "nekkid" for a real treat (and ask for the off-the-menu shoestring fries).

Well, went to Spring Street last night and had the wings. They could be the best I've had.

Yeah, crisp and with the perfect amount of vinegar. Dave Samuels, the vibraphonist for the jazz fusion supergroup SpyroGyra, taught me how to make wings, and they tasted just like that. Dave's from Chicago originally, but SpyroGyra was a Buffalo based band, and they knew their wings! :D

Saw SpyroGrya at Timepiece 119 W. Main in the 70's. Those were the wild days on Main.
