We personally don't think much of Lady & Sons, it's a very overrated restaurant in our opinion and definitely not worth the wait required if you go at a normal meal time. Unless you just want to say you ate there I wouldn't bother.

I could not agree more with the above statements.

There is a trick about the Pink House, which has excellent food !!! As you face the front of the building, you will see steps that take you up into the restaurant. You will also see a small set of steps to the left that go downstairs. Take the steps downstairs !!! They lead you to the tavern below. They serve the exact same food as the restaurant, but the atmosphere is much better. It is full of dark wood, brick walls and fireplaces. It is not as noisy as upstairs and it is where the locals eat.

Thanks, Robert. I remember now, and went back up and read your earlier post about it. I wasn't aware Paula's Party was filmed there, but interesting fact.

It is owned by Paula's brother. We dined there and thought it was just "okay".

From my earlier post, my sentiments exactly. I was not impressed with Uncle Bubba's, but it was better than Lady and Sons.

We went to Savannah a little over a year ago & only had one night, so we went to Lady & Sons. The food was good, but being from Kentucky it wasn't anything that we'd never had before -it was just good Southern cooking. It felt very much like a themed restaurant you'd see in Orlando, pretty touristy. We did get advice from our bellman on a great little neighborhood breakfast place called Clary's Cafe. It seems like it was a couple blocks from the Art Institute but I'm sure any of the locals could point you in its direction.
