Yeah, I hope the app and two beers I had don't lead to ethnic cleansing. That certainly wasn't my intent.

Most guys I've known seem to love BJs. "Two enthusiastic thumbs up," they usually say, when queried. "Even the worst kind is better than nothing," I've heard several times.

I just can't figure out how every guy I know seems to have an opinion about BJs, when they've only been open a few weeks.

I haven't been yet, so until I do go, it's hard to formulate an opinion. I hope to make the forum thingie that's in the works and meet some of the fine people who post here.

The rhetoric is officially overheated.

Under traditional Internet rules, that is a violation of Godwin's Law: He who first invokes the Nazis in a debate automatically loses. I think the Bush Administration repealed Godwin under the Patriot Act, though.

I hadn't heard of Godwin's law, but I applaud Godwin for coming up with it.

Most people who appreciate civil forums remain in Dr. Godwin's debt. ;)

Regardless of whether a restaurant is a chain or independently owned, with a high traffic mall location you can expect big crowds when you're new. The test will be, as it is for all restaurants, on repeat business. So far it sounds like a bunch of people saying "good but not great" and " not worth the bucks." Let's see what the crowd is like in another month.

I have gone twice. Once during some tourney games, once without....the food was outstanding, the service was a little lackluster, but it was absolutely worth going. The beer and ambiance were fantastic.

(Yawn) How so? Mere popularity means absolutely nothing -- never has, never will. There must be a standard for thinking people to draw conclusions, right? Otherwise, we're all standing on quicksand.

Now that Godwin's Law has been invoked (endorsed by no less than our own forum moderator), you have officially lost an argument about chains and beer to . . . Robert.

Did you notice that BJ's is next door to Dick's Sporting Goods? Perhaps we can talk Cox's Smokers Outlet into opening a location on the other side?

Note, however, that I also attached a caveat to Godwin's Law ...
