Re: How about an offline? Or two?

I'd like to propose a late lunch (1:30ish) at Maido, Monday April 7.

I agree we should give them a "heads up" when we have an approximate attendee count.

Tom

Biggest question: Are they open on Mondays? If so, Mary and I are in. If not, would Tuesday, April 8, work?

Second question: Since you popped up first, Tom, would you be willing to volunteer to organize? Not much work: Count heads and then call them.

They are open Mondays and I'd be honored to organize..........

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are tuff for me. Good alternatives would be Thursday or Friday April 17, 18.

Let's do it, then! I was offering Tuesday only as an option of they were NOT open Mondays.

Probably best to start a new head-count thread, Tom, title "Sign here for April 7 Maido offline."

If you'll post that new announcement in this forum, I'll then use Moderator Magick to move it to Offlines section in such a way that we'll leave a signpost and a trail.

And since there seems to be interest in BJs as well, I'm happy to organize that group. I'm thinking the week of April 21, to get it 2 weeks away from the other event. Any nights that week that are "no-gos" for the group? Tuesday nights are no-go's for me, so I'd prefer Monday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Let me know!

Melissa, that would be great! Wednesday or Thursday of that week would work for me ... Wednesday, just guessing, might not be quite as crowded as closer to the weekend.

Thanks so much for agreeing to organize. Would you like to do as Tom did with Maido? Start a new sign-up thread in this forum. Then I'll move it over to Offlines but leave a billboard and sign post in this forum.

Mary and I will definitely be there. :)

First let me say that I checked with Robin before posting this and he said it would be OK.

I would like to extend and invitation for a HotBytes offline Lunch at the Bluegrass Bistro in the future. If anyone would be interested, I would offer a 10% discount for the event and even throw in a couple of Robin's favorite Possum Pies.....
If you keep looking back, you will miss what's ahead....
