Doogy, since you remember the candy at Sears you should also remember that the Cafe Lou Lou site is also where Thornberry's used to be long before any of those other spots. I got my first bike there and went every year during my birthday month to get a prize from the treasure chest. Those were the days! :D

And Marsha, my daughter loves anything you do with chocolate! Yum! (Her dad and I do get to have an occasional bite!)
When in doubt, add more wine.

Of course I remember Thornberry's. It was there that I got my first new bike. My very first bike was a hand-me-down from some family member. After my dad would take us to Sear's it was off to Plehn's and/or St. Matthew's hardware. He had a major sweet tooth and loved the Kuchen's. Actually, the entire family loved them. If you ever go in the hardware store, you can smell and feel the past. It's a neat thing.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

Oh, cool, it's A.D. (After Derby)

If you cook for a living in Louisville, round about this time of year every upcoming event in your life gets put into one of two categories: Before or After Derby.

I'll be looking forward to it, Michelle!
