There are plenty of times when I am at one mall or the other, and would like to visit a store at the opposite mall, but the idea of taking the time to go down Shelbyville Rd to get there is unappealing. So they might get more people visiting both malls in one trip. This time of year especially it can take 30 minutes to get from one mall to the other.

What you are talking about would benefit in individual store, not the mall as a whole. Overall each mall and it stores don't want to make it easy for you to go someplace else, they would rather you stay where you are and spend your money there.

Agree with Kari. If I am shopping ( particularly during crush times) , I only pick one of the malls to go to, then look for other items in non-mall spots. The traffic over there is way too bad for me to hit both malls in a trip- it's not worth my time. I'd change this pattern if the traffic patterns were better.

The monorail is a cool idea- when were they talking about that?

If I have my history correct, PNC is trustee for the family (Bullitt) and at one point was entertaining a pretty significant development on the farm, and that's when the talk came up about the new road, potential for a monorail - all sorts of interesting ideas that died.

Both of the malls have the same owner now. I like the whole park once and hit both malls concept. Bring on the monorail!

As long as no tax money is used.
