Schneikies! Hopefully it sings and dances and valet parks the car...

That was when it certainly jumped out at me as being ridiculously overpriced. I must've had to pay mileage to have a chicken walked down here, dragging the bale of hay!

I'd bet this isn't the real menu or it's a rip off of a Chicago restaurant. When you go to http://brasserieprovence.com/ there is not a link to the menu that is linked to in the above post.

All,
I know it looks damning, but is it possible that this is a fake/ hack? It really doesn't make sense and the words used are suspicious to me. I recently saw a "random menu generator " somewhere, that poked fun at locavore/ Foodie excess. It sounded a lot like this. I'll try to find it.

Yeah, you can only get there by clicking that exact link, and I don't know where it came from. You can't get there from there from http://brasserieprovence.com . I'm guessing they don't want us to see the "menu" section as the site is under construction

As I posted elsewhere, I wondered about this at the outset when I saw that the chef comes from the English Grill, which to be sadly blunt has long struck me as having a grandiosely excessive self-referential worldview.

Let's just bury this place before it opens based on a linked menu (to a restaurant in Chicago) that can't be found on the websites homepage.

There is no way this is Brasserie Provence's real menu for numerous reasons.

There is no way that Guy, pronounced "gee" is going that crazy with menu pricing. I know him personally and he has possibly one of the shrewdest foodservice minds, outside of Dean Corbett, that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Everyone just needs to back off the ledge here and let them get closer to opening before you judge anything. Okie Dokie?

I just talked to the owner Guy- it's totally fake. He assures me that they are a Brasserie with reasonable prices - he was quoting average entrees for less than $20, with a nightly special at only $19.

Sounds like a great concept for our neighborhood! Can't wait for them to open!

I see that Deb beat me to it,, but Guy's wife Stacy said there is a major screwup with the webmaster.....Please give this restaurant a chance-- it will be a great place to eat, and will not be at a price point that was alluded to before...Just the "joys" of an internet mixup...
As soon as I have a link to the Real menu,, I will repost it on here...Look forward to seeing you all out and about, especially at Provence soon!

Okay, I feel a little better, but I'm still waiting to see how the English Grill connection plays out ...

I was hoping that it would be less / I would be wrong . . . I Googled Brasserie Provence Menu, and got directed to the site I gave!

I guess that proves that Google/Bing/et al can find hidden sites still under construction!

Deb - did he happen to give you any updates on when he would be opening?
