Good point, but I think when most of us (i.e., me :mrgreen: ) think of "Hurstbourne," we think of the Chain Corridor from Shelbyville Road to Taylorsville Road. There's green space around Limestone.

By the way, reaching out to other old-timers, who remembers Remington's on Hurstbourne, which I think was around the current location of Olive Garden? Very classy place, with an upscale bistro menu and sculptures by Frederic Remington around. I think one of the long-time local chefs was involved, but I can't remember who ... Anoosh, maybe?

Another good local spot back in the day, Langtry's, on Shelbyville Road just east of Hurstbourne. And New Orleans House ...

Opened in the late 80's right? They did table side very well. I only ate there once but it was really good. I do not remember who the chef was.

Same location as Olive Garden and chef was Anoosh.

Bristol has been on Hurstbourne since 1995.

I didnt move out that way until 1997, so, to me, its been there "forever".

Starting Sunday April 14, Mussel & Burger Bar will open for Brunch and dinner.

Brunch Menu:

Steak and chorizo quesadilla: Flour tortilla filled with grilled steak,house made chorizo, caramelized onions and peppers, topped with sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole, and 2 fried eggs.

Blue berries and duck confit pancakes: pancakes filled with blueberries and duck confit, topped with foie gras butter and maple syrup.

Spanish chorizo and sundried tomato waffles: waffles stuffed with Spanish chorizo, goat cheese and sundried tomatoes, topped with pork belly, poached eggs, berries and maple syrup.

Croque Madame: breakfast sandwich made with Brioche bread, gruyere cheese, Serrano ham, prosciutto, topped with bechamel and a fried egg. Srved with house pomme frites.

Breakfast Nachos: House pomme frites topped with melted Monterrey jack cheese, braised short ribs, pico ge gallo, guacamole, sour cream and 2 fried eggs.

Brioche French Toast: Topped with berries , vanilla mascarpone cheese, and a salted caramel sauce.
