It WAS a good time and if you are ever in need of judges again, I'd be happy to participate :D Hope you'll consider a rib burn-off once the weather improves next spring. I think I could hold my own in that one

I could not agree more. The time before the last visit the banana peppers were not good by any stretch of the imagination. I figured it was their fault. Months went by and decided to try the BP once more. They were consistent in that they were just as bad. This was my fault since I should not have ordered them. The breading is tasteless. It is nothing but corn meal. The dipping sauces need improvement. Mariana sauce or glorified mayo are the accompaniments. The view is great I will admit. Too bad the food does not measure uo

( shrugging) I dunno, perhaps you got them on a bad night. Personally I like a simple, cornmeal only breading so I can taste the banana peppers. Ours were meaty peppers with a nice crispy shell. As far as dipping sauces I don't use any, maybe a bit of lemon juice. I guess to each his own. As far as consistency goes, I can always count on having a good time at CQ and have never resented spending my hard earned cash with them. So sorry your experience wasn't as positive as ours.

I'm with you. I adore the taste of banana peppers - I eat them out of the jar with a fork - so you don't have to bread them in much to be delicious to me.

Antonia, you and I need to sit together, eat banana peppers and chat about your tag line! :P
