Re: Sq. footage v. sq. inches...at "Henry's Place"

I visited Henry's Place back in August for a birthday dinner and we had a lovely time. There were 5 average-sized adults in our party and we fit easily into one booth - I wouldn't even describe it as "snug." Obviously, though, personal preferences vary. I personally actually prefer a table to a booth but was very comfortable at Henry's Place.

@Alison - in the main dining room, there are a row of booths on one wall and a row of 2-tops and 4-tops on the other. You could slide a couple tables together on that side to make seating for 6. One side of the table has chair seating, the other has bench seating. I believe there may also be a large table in the bar area but memory could be failing me - it's been about a month.

Allison, Mr. Myers and his party did have a reservation, and we did have a 6 top booth for their party when they arrived. When Mr. Myers and his party decided that our booth was too small, we didn't have any othe space available at that time for a party of 6. That is why we apologize for their inconvenience. Again, we only have 85 seats, so at the time, we didn't have any other options for Mr. Myers..

I hope this resopnds to your question.

Sincerely,

well then, it's to *me* to offer the apology now....for being so tardy responding to Mr. McGinnis' response (and his apology). while I don't agree with his explanation, the fact that he took the time to do it is appreciated. as I said at the end of my OP, it's likely that my wife and I will return - - just not with a bunch of friends, that is.

The long and short of it seems to be that Henry's puts the "cosy" and the "dinner" in cosy dinner. So go with people you want to get cosy with and for God's sake make sure you're on the one boy two girls side of the booth.

Or never go with a group of six.
