It is interesting how our places and habits color the way we perceive our city. It's especially interesting to see how you and I see our own neighborhood slightly differently, living only a couple blocks apart.

More likely, Jeff, it's not where we live so much as where we make our most frequent trips. For a variety of reasons, I am much more likely to circulate in and out Frankfort/Shelbybille than over to the Highlands. Which is odd, since I grew up in the Highlands and used to think it was the neighborhood.

Owners David and Dana Sims are eager to bring Mellow to Louisville. “Both of us being born and raised in Louisville, we knew from the first time we experienced Mellow Mushroom that we wanted to bring it to our city. We feel blessed that we found a great location within our own community and are excited to be able to share Mellow with our hometown,” states David.
Mellow Mushroom features a creative menu with an assortment of pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones, appetizers, vegetarian and vegan options, using only the freshest of ingredients. Gluten-free crust and a kids menu are also available.

Agreed, so to me there are 3 distinct parts: The parts I take I-64 to Watterson to Shelbyville Rd (BBC), the parts I take 64 to Grinstead to the Brick Road(Irish Rover), the parts I take 64 to Mellwood to Frankfort(Maido).

Had MM last week and it was delicious! Tempeh and tofu for the vegans (plus daiya cheese). The place is a bit kitschy for my taste, but the food is delicious.

Which one did you go to? The St Matthews one has a completely different atmosphere than the one on Blankenbaker. The one on Blankenbaker is much more oriented toward families and not the bar crowd.
