I think this is the way to put a positive spin on this negative turn of events.

Totally agree!!! Let's do it (if it is good with Will)! Although we did not get there as often as we would have liked, we have had many great times and good memories there. We are going to miss WGS!

p.s. Will, remember the night we came out with our friends and you had no electricity. We ate cheese from the big wheel and drank wine. You went home and got your own grill and made us some of the best filets and baked potatoes we have ever had! It was a great night and we all still talk about it!!! Wishing you only the best.

Will, this is truly a sad day. If I somehow contributed to this (with my myriad ongoing issues) I am truly sorry. You will always be a true and caring freind to me and a great operator!! Love ya man and always will. Dave

Will,

You turned a difficult location into a destination spot that made many people very happy. I know you've had significant challenges and hope that this is a great, positive move for you and your family. You will succeed in whatever you chose to do next!

Totally agree with Dan- this is a great place for a party/reception/shower, folks!

I am really overwhelmed by all the kind words. I truly enjoyed serving you and will miss it. On the up side- I got to take my wife out on a date on a Saturday night for the first time in 9 years. That was great. I'm looking forward to visiting some of the cool new places that have opened up and also returning to all the fantastic places that have been around for longer. I know it has been said before but we are really blessed to have this wonderful restaurant community.

As I closed one door many more are opening and things are really good. My decision was primarily made for family reasons. Many of you know that I have a son with autism, well he has been severely challenged over the last two years. I could no longer make my schedule work the way it needs to In order to help him.

As for the offer of having an offline at the restaurant, I'm not sure. It would have to make financial sense for me to open the place. I do not want to sound ungrateful, but it does come down to dollars, unfortunately. If we could get 40 or 50 folks that may work.

Do not count me out of the business forever. I still have a few ideas I would like to see happen. But it will have to wait a bit.
Thanks again and keep on dinning out.

I am so very sorry to hear of the closing of WGS. I'm sure it was a very difficult decision. Will, my neice - my sister's youngest - is autistic, and I know it can be quite challenging. I try to help when I can, although 800 miles makes it much more difficult. I commend you both for putting your son's care as your first priority. I know you will do great in your next ventures, and enjoy your time while you can!
