I doubt that I'm that curious, Andrew, but just out of curiosity, do you know about how much they cost at Jungle Jim's?

Sorry, Robin, don't remember . . . I seem to think around $3-something a pound, but really don't remember. They were in the frozen case. I'm sure you could call them?

Thanks, Andrew! If I were seriously in the market I'd check it out. Mostly I was just curious.

Actually, if I were going to buy one, I'd probably go online to a specialty producer in Acadiana rather than to Cincinnati. Here's one that offers frozen whole turducken for $69:

Cajun Specialty Meats

(You have to enter "turducken" in the search space - it's not practical to link directly to a search result.)

Turducken

No I have not.... Yet. "One of these years"

I have friends who have served it at their Thanksgiving table, but I wait too long every year to think about it, and then it does not happen!

Rubashkin and Empire turkeys are available in the kosher section of the Kroger at Hikes Point.

Was at Cincinnati this past weekend, hitting South Beach, Vineyard Cafe, and Pappadeaux among others, and went to Jungle Jim's. The turducken was frozen, $69.99 for a 15 lb turkey/duck/chicken with sausage stuffing, and produced by Tony Chachere (brand name).

Andrew:

Please post your reviews of those restaurants on the Cincinnati forum. By "South Beach" were you referring to Jeff Ruby's place in Covington? I'd like to read your thoughts on it, the Vineyard Cafe, and Pappadeux.
