News I hate to share: L&N Wine Bar is closing

Saturday June 2nd is the last night for L and N. If you can be there, then you should be. Forget the new flashes for one night and pay respect to one of the best restaurants in town for the past ten years. I've been three times since the news broke and it has been fabulous each time. Send them out with a bang!

We went last Wed. evening, and it was fantastic. We shared a lobster bisque, hubby had the Steak Frites, and I had the Seared Scallops. I'm very sad to see this place close, but I'm glad we made it in one last time.

According to a legal ad that was published Friday, it's apparently still going to be a wine bar/restaurant:

II Cousins, LLC, mailing address 1408 Forest Park Rd., Louisville, KY 40223 hereby declares its intention to apply for a restaurant liquor and wine by the drink, retail beer license(s), no later than October 1, 2012. The business to be licensed will be located at 1765 Mellwood Ave., Louisville, KY 40206 doing business as 1860 Wine Bar & Bistro. The officers are as follows: Member, Terry L. Fereday; Member, Ron P. Kayrouz.

That's good news! Thanks for the catch, Rich. I wondered ... it seems it would be awfully silly to buy into that awesome, almost one-of-a-kind Cruvinet wine dispenser and not take advantage of it.
