18% more? Or is my math fuzzy?

Wow, for two days this thread elicited little response. I go out for my normal Wednesday session at the Fireside and I get back to find a firestorm!

A lot less fuzzy and a lot more beer is what session beer is all about! Actual session beer is less than 4% which much of the beer in England is. But I'm thrilled when I can find a good tasting beer under 6%. When David PM'd me that he was tapping a firkin of real ale on Saturday my decision was made. If some of you guys will come drink with me at the BSB it'll be a little slice of heaven! I plan to check in at Bank St about 1:00 on Saturday. Who is coming? Cheers!

Duh - I just messaged Shane about the time; should have read here first. I'll be there circa 1:00 p.m. If we can arrive at an approximate number, tables can be reserved.

I am absolutely pumped about cask-conditioned (Extra)Ordinary Bitter. Tilapia and Frites will have to double for Fish & Chips.

OK, this is looking like big fun. I'm going to start a list here. Don't worry this is not an obligatory list. If you decide you can't make it at the last minute don't sweat it but I would like to give Roger some idea of how many may come so that he can have an area where we can all sit together.

Shane
JackieR
Carol & BobC (+2 guests) (4)
Antonia and TimL
DavidP
Roger (+1)
KenB
Robin & Mary

There will be no attempt to coordinate any group rates or set menu. Come when you like. Order what you like. Leave when you're ready. I plan to be there from 1:00 until.....

I would invite everyone here on the forum who is a beer enthusiast or who would just like to socialize on what hopefully will be a beautiful day at a great venue to come. There are several other great places downtown within easy walking distance including some nice shops. Come have a few beers and some food. Walk it off and come back for more!

BSB has a wonderful selection of teas, craft sodas, quality whiskey, wine, and of course beer of all types. I've had most of the menu and everything I've had was great. Cheers!

BSB Brewery Tour and Brew-in 7 April

by David R. Pierce » Thu Apr 05, 2012 9:01 pm

I'll sweeten the pot a little for those inclined, I'll be brewing Saturday morning. Stop by for a brewery tour, Q & A with the brewer, and free smells of Elector in progress. Post up here if you are interested.

I'll be done brewing in time for lunch and Session Head Kick-off.

Who is in?

David,
What time do you think you will be doing the brewing demo? We are bringing our neighbors who would love to hear/see what you have to say about brewing--Greg is a homebrewer and making some good beers according to Bob. If you have an idea about time, we will certainly try to be there! Thanks for doing this.

I'll start brewing at 8:00. Come to the overhead door at the rear of BSB. There is not a lot of action in brewing, just controlled hurry-up and wait. If you are here at 8:00, you would see our equipment mash-in, then no real brewing action for a couple hours. One could walk down to Quills for an espresso or smokehouse, Toast on Market for a light breakfast, or walk over to Sweet Stuff for some excellent sweets (brewers love doughnuts!).

If you have any interest in the process or just want to BS with the brewer, please join me.
Cheers,

Thanks so much, David. Our neighbors have overnight guests tonight who are leaving in the morning so we won't be able to be there that early. Hopefully we will see you later in the day and enjoy some of your Session beers!
Again, thanks and we would love to take your tour another time!
