I'll be watching with most of my family (immediate and extended.) We are split down the middle, so it should be both fun and interesting. There will be eating, drinking, cheering, and much taunting. Looking forward to it. Go Cards!

Other. I have to be in Chicago for a bachelor party. Luckily, the groom is a UL fan, and so will want to watch (I'm a Cats fan). The group attending is pretty split, so it should be a fun time. We'll either watch it at our condo or at a sports bar.

My coworker is getting married at 5 pm. She's also refusing to have a tv at the reception..but it's at a country club, so I can't imagine that there wont be one somewhere. I'm sure I'll probably just have to hear the score from others!

Being the heart of basketball country we will be definitely be open at the New Albany Exchange pub + kitchen for Saturdays Final Four games. We are teaming up with BBC to throw a New Orleans style bash on Saturday afternoon! Plenty of BBC swag, a BBC Brewery Tour Giveaway for you and your friends, $2.50 BBC pints, .50 NAX wings, and a hell of a good time. We will be dropping in a huge projection screen and running the audio through our house system. Doors open at 5PM. Hope to see some friendly (CARDS) faces here for the game.

See ya Saturday!! Go CARDS

I was thinking the same thing. I could also forsee a quick drop in-out from a lot of people she invited.
I'm 110% sure at what ever club they are having the reception at will have the game on somewhere for the members I'm certain some of her guests will figure out where in the club that is. Unfortunately she wont be able to do anything about that. So instead of simply letting people watch the game at her reception and embracing the moment for what it is, she will be wondering where everyone wandered off to.
Having dealt with many a bride to be over the years, there are some out there that just refuse to let anything get in the way of their vision of "their big day" no matter how crazy they sound to everyone else around them.
Most of us in the "Bizz" are very aware of checking out sports and convention schedules when planning events. I've always tried to steer brides to available dates without fear of a conflict with something that would take the attention from the wedding. That's one of the big reasons why October is now the new June of wedding months!

Actually I don't plan on watching it any one place. I am thinking of going to the Mall and visiting the Apple Store. I have several questions I have been saving up and that should be an excellent time to get them answered.

I can check out the scoring on my iPad. No need to be glued to the TeleBision as Dennis calls it.

It's just a basketball game.

But, I do hope that the Cards peck the devil out of the Cats. I have said it before: It's not so much that I like the Cards, as I am a Mountie, but I abhor the absolute arrogance of UK believing they just deserve it because they are UK. That mail us the trophy just irritates the JEEEBUS out of me.

Perspective folks:

UCLA 11 National Championships. UK 7

UCLA 7 National Championships in a row. UK has won one back to back championship - '48 & '49.

National Championship Game losses - UK 2 one to UCLA and one to TEXAS WESTERN. UCLA 2, one to U of L and one to FL.

It took UK 50 years to win their 7 National Championships. UCLA won 10 in 12 years.

Eight teams have won the National Championship since UK last won it. UCONN 3 times, Duke 2 times, FL 2 times & NC 2 times.

Indiana and North Carolina are only 2 National Championships behind UK. NC has won 2 since UK last won a championship.

Until UK gets 12, and passes UCLA, they are just another also won.

And so everyone knows. When you see someone wearing U of L clothing it is because they went there, and when you see someone in UK clothing, it's because they went to Wal-Mart.

And, don't be burning no couches in the street. WVU has a Patent Pending on that celebration.

Quite a spiel for someone who doesn't care...but then it is always fun to root against the best.

The fact that so many people who "don't care" feel so strongly about rooting against UK makes it that much more gratifying to be a UK fan.

I will take your vitriol as a compliment.

Your coworker obviously has NO idea what basketball means to this area. Whether the Cats and cards were playing or not, you NEVER schedule something like this during Final 4 weekend or Derby time.

I will be somewhere in the middle of the Superdome cheering my guts out for UK........GO CATS!!
