Another vote for Shady Lane - it's delicious and the people working there are all so friendly. We also end up at Verbena Cafe a lot because there's never a wait more than 5-10 minutes, no matter what time you go. It's out in Norton Commons, just outside the Snyder. It's not gonna blow your mind, but they've got a big breakfast menu - everything from omelets and egg platters to Belgian waffles, crepes, and French toast. My favorites there are the banana bread French toast, the lemon crepes - and anything made with Nutella. ;)

Don't forget the weekend brunch specials are up till 2'ish.

Ooooh! I didn't know about that. My daughter might even be up by then... Definitely have to keep that one in mind!

Thanks, Bill!

If I let my husband have banana bread French toast, the man might refuse to eat anything else the rest of his life.... we might have to risk it though!

We haven't been there yet, but the Grape Leaf has a breakfast menu that sounds great . . .

And also, don't forget Dim Sum at the Jade Palace!

Dim Sum! Now that is exciting. Glad to know there is a good place here. I lived near one of the Asian districts in St. Louis. Dim Sum was regular brunch for me.

I will look up the Grape leaf and check them out too.

+1 to Jade Palace for dim sum. It may not be the best you'll ever have but it hits the spot. The service is always pleasant as well.

It's not Saturday, but we did Majid's Sunday brunch yesterday. It was fantastic. Has to be the friendliest service in town and Majid is so charming. Ihad a bad tummy so my delicious Huevos Rancheros had to keep till today. They first bring you a complimentary fresh fruit cup followed by a plate of muffins and fruit bread. Outstanding choices and large portions. My daughter raved about her quiche with shrimp and Kassari cheese. You can also skip the Sunday crowd by making a reservation on opentable.
