You want to see a consistent well balanced beer selection on eight taps. Check out the NA Exchange in New Albany. I eat lunch there two or three times a month and I may increase that if they keep up their current selection.

Bells Two Hearted
Flat 12 Smoked Ham Porter
Rivertown Roebling Porter
Bells Winter Wit
Schlafly Brown Ale
Schlafly Wheat
NABC Elector
Schlafly Kolsch

If you know anything about my beer preferences you probably know I'm a bitter beer drinker mostly. However, during the winter months I dabble on the dark side. The two porters in this line-up are exquisite. The Roebling I've mentioned before is coffee and vanilla heaven. The Smoked Ham is a savory feast. Have them back to back and you may not even need to order from John and Rachel's impressive menu featuring many local options. I always do. The red pepper bisque today was perfect with the two dark beers. I may return this evening for a 3D Valley burger on fresh pretzel bread and more dark liquid delight. Oh if your a whiskey guy or gal they got you covered there too. Cheers!

Thanks for the plug Shane, great to see you at lunch today as always. Having only 8 taps we really focus on keeping the right balance for our guests. We normally don't have two similar styles of beer on at once, but the Flat 12 Glazed Ham Porter is a special release and we just got it in yesterday and its probably the only one we will get so I wanted to get it on asap, which is why we have 2 porters right now. Our wheat selection right now is actually Boulevard Wheat, and our Schlafly Brown Ale is our house beer that we do with Schlafly, we are the only account in Indiana to currently carry that product. Our bourbon and whiskey list is growing weekly, only problem is we are running out of room on the back bar, so check back often for new options. Oh, and the new Winter Menu will be out soon! Busy, Busy!!

Thanks,

Ian

Finally got around to trying this beer for the second time last night...this time on tap. There won't be a third sampling.

Hey Steve, wondering where you had it on tap? Also, I'm pretty sure I remember you liking other hoppy beers (Sweet Water 420,IPA) so what about this one didn't you like? Was it too bitter or was it something else?

I've just talked the Fireside into getting in on tap and if it is too hoppy for most people maybe they should get something else.
