I really have a hard time hearing people talk about not liking Chick-fil-a because of their beliefs. You may not agree with them but at least you know what they are opposed to most restaurants. Also you have to like them if only because of the fact that they really stick to their beliefs which is not the case with many businesses or people.

Yes, we enjoy eating there occasionally but that's not why I made the above statement. It also sounds like from the OP her husband had eaten there previously and enjoyed it so maybe the suggestion about contacting management would have been appropriate.

Brian, I'm going to hold my temper and make a very serious suggestion that I believe would be good for you and good for the forum: Next time you're in the mood to "make a quick post," stop. Take a deep breath. Think long and hard about whether your "quick post" contains anything that other people might consider mean or bullying. If you're drinking, take TWO deep breaths and think about it twice. Then, if you're sure that your interlocutor isn't going to feel hurt by your post, and that other people aren't going to view your post and think this forum is an unsafe place to participate, then and only then go ahead.

I'm really not kidding about "two strikes."

Becky, please don't feel that way. I notice Brian has been posting a lot today, and I think he may be getting an early start on the New Year.

Regardless of anything posted by Mr. Curl, THAT is a presumptuous (and rude) statement on your part Mr. Food Dude...I thought they taught you people that two wrongs don't make a right. I think you owe Brian an apology.

I'm not a big drinker like some here, so that's not relative here. I know a lot of people are sensitive, maybe because you guys know personal stories of others. I just read and try to make objective posts. All I know is what I read, nothing about the personal lives of others. If anyone else wants some chicken because of my insensitivity, well I'll buy, fried chicken always makes me feel better. Mashed potatoes with gravy too.

I'm struggling to see what Brian did other than be a bit flippant which seems mild given what's posted on here all the time. Wow.

It read like bullying to me, Mark, and I won't have that. This isn't really open for debate. There's gotten to be a bullying, mean tone among a few folks here, and it's not something I'm willing to accept.

On a lighter note...The Chik-Fil-A Bowl game is on right now.

BTW...As a side-note, it's only 3 minutes into the game and when they panned the crowd I could have SWORN I saw a Baptist sitting beside a Gay guy...They appeared to be sharing a beer and an order of Nachos.

I'm going to call a ""T"" on both sides and settle every one down....... Refer to the Frankfort Ave thead and see how things get calm without a bunch of name calling and " hearsay ".
I like a spirited discussion as much as the next guy!
