Longhorn steakhouse has a pretty good prime rib and their salads and bread that come with it are also very good!

On the other hand, Anderson, thank $Deity that Dish does not much resemble The Fifth Quarter.

Thank you Robin. I agree, but our prices are probably similar if not better!

I'll tell them, but I really do think they want something as much as possible like the Fifth Quarter. Seriously, this is a concern in my place. If people ask me for advice, I want to nudge them toward local and indie and I want to nudge them toward expanding their boundaries a little.

But in a case like this, a sweet older person who loves something she remembers doing with her kids and wants to experience something as much like that as possible, I don't feel good about "upselling" her and then having her be sad on Christmas, mad at me and mad at the restaurant where I guided her.

I'm seriously asking if this makes sense, because I wrestle with it whenever it comes up. I do think it's important to listen to the person asking the question and try to gauge what response fits best.

Now that the snickering has died down.......
I was going to suggest Longhorn as well. For a chain, they do a great job and I like them A LOT more than Outback, Logan's or Texas Roadhouse. Go figure. They offer a great value!

Dano, I got's me noooo problem with Longhorn...was simply doing my best <gasp> "it's not local" imitation. When one compares quality, convenience, price point, etc. They do a fine job of doing what they do.

Obviously I haven't been in many years- the words "Longhorn Steakhouse" and "watermelon margarita" together just set my universe spinning....

I think I need to open the Eggnog Spike now.
