Beer Tablet. That's a great idea. Take a pill, get buzzed, no bloat, no more beer breath, beer belly or worry about open containers in your pick up. Heck you can take a tablet at work and nobody will know for sure.

Wow Steve P! Seriously? I guess you know everything that there is to know about beer, don't you? Me, I've been in the beer industry off and on for the last 20 years, am a professional brewer, and a certified beer judge with the BJCP. I still cannot keep up with all of the new styles. As a woman, I can assure you that "I've forgotten more about beer than you will ever know"! Stick to your "Natty Light" or whatever swill it is that you choose to call beer!

I haven't been hanging around the boards long enough, so I've got to ask - Steve P, you're joking with all the blatantly sexist stuff, right? I mean, it's just your schtick, no? Otherwise - wow. I've heard about people like you, but I so rarely encounter them out in the wild! It's kind of exciting! Tell me - where can I procure this elusive "man card"? It sounds fascinating. Do you need a penis to get one and if so, does anyone have a spare I can borrow? ;) I tried to Google "man card" on my table but none of the results were very helpful. =(

OK, in all seriousness - the app looks like any other hyped-up marketing gimmick. The article mentions using it to help educate servers on the beer list, though, and in theory, at least, that's an excellent idea. I hope Rocky's can make it happen. How many of us (who aren't brewers) have asked a server about a particular beer on the list, only to get a shrug and a response along the lines of, "Oh, yeah - it's really good." I expect servers at breweries to know their beer list inside and out. That kind of knowledge isn't as common elsewhere. I'm all for servers knowing more about their beer list and if this app can help make that happen at Rocky's, fantastic.

Of course, all that said...it's a great idea in theory. In practice...eh. Remains to be seen.

...and for the uninitiated, the whole 'I'm just funnin witchall to git ya all riled up from way out hurr in the Logic' is pretty much Steve P's go-to when he paints himself into a corner.
Not that I mind that much. I mean, without extremes, there can't be a median and it takes all kinds to keep this big rock spinning.
I'm just grateful to know that I'll never know it all and that I'm comfortable with that.

I don't believe Steve has a monopoly on lameness here and as hard as it is to believe even I have posted lame stuff, or so I've been told. That said, I don't make it a habit of calling people out on it.

THIS is some pretty wicked stuff. Steve invoked Eileen - love love love! She'd take my woman card too, if I gave her a reason.
