One popular way to enjoy the curds is to fry them. We have had these at bars up in northern Wisconsin. Make a thin beer batter, coat curds and deep fry for a minute or two.

Culvers sells them like that as a side item. Pretty tasty, but the chipotle ones they had briefly when they were doing the "3 Pepper Chipotle Butterburger" promo last summer were much better than the plain cheddar ones.

AP Crafters does both poutine and fried curds.

All you need is milk, a little lemon juice, and a cheese cloth. Or a friend with a Restaurant Depot card, i.e. me. Either way I can help you out, either store bought or home made.
I’ll regret this tomorrow…

Really don't like Culvers' . . . they are way too heavily breaded (should have enough to keep them from melting together, rather than an equal amount of cheese & breading), are so salty that's all you can taste. To me, they're like a bad batch of frozen mozzarella sticks.

The best I've had were at the Minnesota State Fair . . . they are freshly made, rolled in flour, just enough to barely coat, and flash fried. Heaven!
