Jerry, I have only met you a few times...I think Norton Commons is very luck to have someone who cares so much about the community and their surroundings! I need to get out there and walk around and visit some of the shops and spots! GREAT WORK! :D I am Otto's little sister...

Whenever I see Norton Commons it reminds me of the scene in "Blazing Saddles" in which the townspeople build a facade of a town to trick Harvey Corman and his hired guns.

Actually, the most accurate analogy is probably something more like Colonial Williamsburg.

I think it's a lovely area!
Please let us know when the Village Market opens. It sounds delightful!

Christina, I heard this week, perhaps tomorrow Wed.
Think, Burger's market, Paul's, Doll's markets
This is a market (as with all the businesses here) that is open to all of the surrounding areas not Just Norton Commons.

If your in the area, you think "oh darn, I need xxxxx for my dinner tonight", or you want craft beer,
and are closer to NC then Liquor barn, then you can come to Scott's and pick some up.

That little extra something you need for a recipe, they have hand picked the produce they will carry, and they may have items that you cannot get at Kroger, Meijer, or Wal mart, and can't get to the nearest Paul's.

I encourage everyone to at least come and check it out!
There will be a fall festival event here on Sat. from 4-6, if you have kids and Grandkids, bring them out for bouncy fun, face painting, and hayrides, and all the businesses will be open for shopping.

Nice! It will be a quick way to supplement my Costco shopping. (when I really don't *need* ten pounds of burger right now) *lol*

Maybe we'll stop in later today to see what's going on. :D

Just burst out laughing at work over this -- I was there last night and thought the exact same thing!

Walking the dog this afternoon, I smelled a "smoker". Indeed it was Scott and his crew smoking meats for tomorrow. I was told to come by then, and they will be open!
