Tin Roof and Mellow Mushroom coming to St Matthews?

Love it!

I've been to the MM in Lexington and it is very funky, and the food is pretty solid. A good pizza option, but I'll probably be a die-hard Boom Bozz and Clifton's Pizza loyalist until I die.

MM seems to us to be in the same vein as Boombozz, Impellizeri's, etc...and folks who enjoy those pies should find MM a welcome edition to pizza-dom in the Ville. That said, I don't know that we'll be beating the door down of the St. Matts location until the "Next Big Thing" syndrome runs it's course.

I dunno. I used to frequent the MM in Nashville quite a bit. It's a far, far different experience than any of the other places we have here. Pizza is incredibly good, too, if you avoid the "light" pizzas (margarita-esque, or just cheese) -- those can be kind of bland.

If they get half the business the one in Nash did, they'll do incredibly darned well.

I know people who love Mellow Mushroom, and others who thought it was just "meh" and very expensive for what it was. The ones who thought it was "meh" are not beer drinkers...perhaps the large beer selection helps sway the overall opinion of the restaurant?

How is it that Lexington can have a place called Mad Mushroom and a place called Mellow Mushroom so close to each other? I think Mad Mushroom is the one I've been to...the one on Lime.
