College Town Worst Food

For 80's era IU grads.... Bruce's. They didn't open til two or three in the morning and I never met anyone who could even remember if the food was good or bad. It was like zombie night every night.

For 80's era IU grads.... Bruce's. They didn't open til two or three in the morning and I never met anyone who could even remember if the food was good or bad. It was like zombie night every night.

Oh, I loved Bruce's! The first time I went there was the first (and only) time I had a fried brain sandwich. This was long before anyone had heard of mad cow's disease. And yes, they opened at 3:00 in the morning and stayed open until 3:00 in the afternoon. The last time I went there they had changed to normal hours and I think the move put them out of business. The place was a lot less appealing when you were sober.

I always end up with a Laughing Planet burrito and breakfast at the Runcible Spoon in B-town. B-town has some new places that are worth checking out too: Finch's is great and I've heard really good things about Restaurant Tallent. In addition they have a street food vendor called Happy Pig that makes the Notorius P.I.G. sandwich. Pork belly glazed with maple syrup topped with a fried egg on good bread. I had one at a beerfest and it was pretty spectacular.
