Wow! Ok, I know I should have called to tell them we were running late. In my defense for being called "rude" by showing up late, is this. When I called to make a reservation, the young lady told me it really wasn't neccessary but if I wanted to, she would put me down. Also, the restaurants hours are serving until 11pm. That is one of the reasons we like it so much...Late Night Dining. Nuff said.

Yeah, that would make a difference ... it also makes the server's attitude even more difficult to understand. They don't take reservations seriously, and the place was empty anyway, and he still gave you attitude? Yeah, I think I'd get a little worked up about that.

Got it - then you were inappropriately treated.

Agreed, you either take reservations or you do not, and you either honor them or you do not. I don't really like the whole "we can take a reservation if you really want to" attitude, and especially not at a place of Mozz's level.

It's either take (and honor) the reservation or say, "Sir, a reservation is not necessary. We look forward to your visit to Mozz." If you use the second option, you are running the risk of being wrong.
Thinks the frosty mug is the low point in American history.
