Okay, this goes back to something I said at the beginning: Roland doesn't just sound similar to Bosnian Ajvar, it IS Ajvar. And Lotsa Pasta does sell ajvar, just not Roland. If I were jonesing for Roland, I'd sure give one of the Lotsa Pasta jars a try.

I was in last week (granted I was in with "hurry up" hubby so didn't have as much time to dawdle...erm...shop...as usual) but I could only find the "vegetable" avjar. I know they make a pepper one, but couldn't find it. Next time I'm in there "dawdling" I'll ask.

They have two such shops out here in Santa Fe. Both sell olive olis and balsamic vinegars. $19.95 for a 12oz bottle.

I keep re-visiting olives, but I can't get in love with them. I'm not a picky eater, but I just have never met an olive I liked. When I was in kindergarten, I remember the teacher passing green olives around to us 5 year-olds, to broaden our young palettes, and I didn't like it.

Have you tried sun-dried olives? Whole Foods has them on their olive bar, and Lotsa Pasta has some Moroccan ones.

Da bomb!
