Below are not necessarily the best of what each restaurant does. These are those items they may be overlooked by those not in the know or even regulars that gravitate to the kitchens' more well known specialties...

Lima Beans - Mayan Cafe
Lunch Fish of the Day - Lilly's
Any Soup - Blue Dog Bakery
Thai Wings - Dittos
Chicken & Dumplings - L&N Wine Bar
Ginger Cake (and any soup) - Basa
Tiradito - Seviche
Carnitas - El Mundo
Fois Gras - Jack Fry's
KimChi Dog - Holy Grale
Brunch - 211 Clover
...and if I may...
Beef Brisket Tacos - Doc Crow's

I agree with the previous post about Seviche's tiradito.

Also:

Bread pudding at Hillbilly Tea

Egg salad at Nancy's Bagels

Tomato dill soup at The Cafe

Salmon potato puffs at The Irish Rover

The grilled meat platter at Palermo (not sure how they turn a profit with the amount served - sweetbreads included/optional)

Potato cakes with breakfast at Cafe Beignet. Silver dollar sized, crispy on outside, tender inside with savory seasonings. Served with sour cream and applesauce.
