Coca-Cola Classic bag in the box is Coca-Cola Classic bag in the box. Co2 is Co2, a styrofoam cup is a styrofoam cup. How can MCd's coke be any better than my coke or any other restaurants?

Syrup to water ratio, I'd guess. I'm not saying McD's has the best Coke, but some places are better than others.

Yep. McDo's coke is just different. In a good way. It's always tasted different. Sweeter, maybe.

Well, seeing as I don't drink coke, or indeed any sodas, well maybe Fresca if it has vodka with it, I didn't realize that coke can vary. I guess it is the syrup to water ratio. Maybe they have their machines set up differently. As for being sweeter, yuk, the reason I don't drink sodas is that they are too sweet already!

Do people really drink Coke with genuinely good food, as opposed to chain crapola? Serious question.

Well, Diet Coke, and yes, sometimes.

Also the quality of water filtration and the cleanliness of the syrup lines count high.

I'll probably get banned for saying this, but I actually like McDonalds in small doses. Especially the fish sandwich with cheese, nom nom nom. I much prefer when i eat there (maybe once a month) it doesn't look like a clown exploded.

Seriously I know fast-food is the antithesis of what this forum is all about, but some of us do have to eat there once in a while due to time constraints, forgot to pack lunch, kids, whatever. I'll usually get a sandwich, a fruit-and-yogurt and a water. If you skip the fries and soda, you don't feel so much like your going to have heart failure after eating.

Not me. Fresh, brewed-on-premises iced tea is a better alternative if available. Water is free, contains zero calories, and is nature's drink. And I'll occasionally consider a Mexican Coke or Jarritos, made with cane sugar, in an ethnic setting.

But mega-industrial soft drinks laced with high fructose corn syrup and chemistry-set gunk? No thanks,

Nah, you've got a right, Jason. Your points are well-taken and your argument well-made. (I'll admit, by the way, that I have stood outside McDonald's in Paris, Oxford and Kyoto while my wife went in to get a large iced tea with plenty of ice in it. It's the only way you can get that in Paris, Oxford or Kyoto. )

i'll admit, im a sucker for the big red 'on tap' from white castle.
theres someting different about it that is really good and puts the glass bottle, platic bottle, or can to shame.. plus the crushed ice is a bonus.
As for Mcd's, not me. but everyones got their own thing

Just in case anyone is interested, the McDonald's on Brownsboro next to Paul's has received the makeover. We drove by and it looks for a nice from the outside, certainly much better than it used to. Didn't bother checking out the rest of the makeover, we'll leave that for somebody else.
