i was just passing along what i was told over lunch. it doesn't make it less credible, because it was passed to me does it? (one is a well know attorney)
does putting a name make it more credible. i don't mean to start anything, but there are people on here, with a name, and their name is really not their real name. does that make them more credible when they post on here?

I even gave up my seat when I arrived to some of the much older clientele because I felt guilty sitting when she was around 80 years old. So, I stand by saying that it would be hard for me to 'sit' at a bar when I was more concerned with older people standing around me. Thus the clientele mark. No need to be rude to me when my comment was based around a genuine concern for me.

As long as that's a grain of pure, organic, Strait-of-Magellan sea-salt. Because we're all such snobs...you know?

Steve was out of line, and I've deleted his comment. Sorry, Amy.

After introducing ourselves to Stephen D during our meal, he made sure that we met up with the Nancy D and her group as well Becky and Steve P. We enjoyed our memorable and fun post dinner cocktails and discussed the great time all the way back to La Grange.
I can understand Amy A's comment about the escalating median age of the diners as we jokingly asked our server if we needed to show our AARP cards. Other than that being a joke amongst my wife and I for the rest of the weekend it didn't tarnish our experience.
Steve P wrote:I'm not sorry ...at all. As originally worded I took offense to the comment about the "clientele". No big deal.

Matthew D wrote:All this talk about age, and now I'm recalling past comments made about the age-factor at Jack's.
My gf and I ate there (at Jack's) last month and found it so-so. The "escalating age" context certainly didn't make use excited about the place. Hopefully, this won't become the norm at Majid's. FWIW, I know a number of younger folk excited for the place. Was having a drink at Bourbon's Bistro on Saturday and listed Majid's as the next place I want to visit. I'll have to make sure I keep myself to my word.
Even if there is an "escalating age" issue, Steve P tells me I would be well-served to listen to the elders in my life, so now I know where to find some replacement elders if the ones in my life get on my nerves!
