Re: Paley, 21C to open new spot on East Market

I'm really excited to hear about this. I think Paley will do really well with this new concept and I have no doubt there will be some real service talent from Proof on Main helping to make the venture very successful. Best of luck with everything, guys!

I just call it "East Market". I can't stomach saying NuLu. Really, it's time to put that one to bed.

Robin, I'm really lovin' this thread and the general idea that pretension only occasionally conquers substance!
Bkg.: I grew up here, left for 40+ yrs., and returned in '98. I'm listening to WHAS radio one morning. They were interviewing some fella who'd just opened a very "elite" bar in the then newly-opened 4th St. Live. When asked why gaining entrance was so restrictive, the owner commented that his place would be a watering-hole for L'ville's "hip, young professionals...lawyers, investors and Louisville's growing number of International models....". The WHAS guy responded, "International models?....I thought the only International model Louisville's known for is the Ford Explorer!"

BTW, the bar didn't last long!

Willie, a belated welcome back to town, and a warm welcome to our forum. I think you're going to fit right in here!
