Don't worry, li'l buddy. Our locavore artisans will get them back Real Soon Now. Later on today, most likely. :)

As long as they are drinking locally brewed craft beer while working I'll withhold judgement.

I don't know much about color theory, but red is known as being a defensive, standoff-ish color. The use on this website is deep, and bold, and loud. This might sound crazy, but when I arrive at the "forums" homepage I start feeling anxious when I read the red thread titles.

There are a number of websites I read that utilize red - ESPN, CNN, Salon - and all of these leave the read for the masthead. Links are in black.

To be constructive, I like the look of the red banner, the white words (home, about us, etc.) and the black underneath (board index, Louisville forums, etc.). Why not keep the red, but do the thread titles in black?

I like it for the Valentines Day motif, but would not want it to last longer than a month. However it's not making my brain scream or eyes bleed.

Agree: Just changing the thread titles to black would fix it. Reading threads is fine. It's just the thread listing.

Okay, you've spoken, and we hear you. The old colors are ba-aa-ack!! And so, of course, are the smileys. 8) :P

We'd still like to think about some more minor mods to make the forum page appear more consistent with the "front page." But we won't roll out anything again without beta-testing it with you guys first.

And if any of you are really skilled at PhpBB3 programming and would like to volunteer to lend a hand, we'd be delighted to take you on and would consider paying in wine. ;)

Robin,
I think the home/lists of restaurants/etc. pages look great. For me, it wasn't the red band at the top but the gray and odd red of the Forum area that was extremely difficult to read. Sure it will be great.
