Welcome Phil! I had the pleasure of meeting Phil a few weeks ago on a flight back from Milwaukee and he is a great guy.

I KNEW it. Actions still speak louder than words/forum posts. Nothing says Louisville IS the best town around more than moving here for good!

Welcome back to Louisville. Looking forward to the great things you will have to say about the place.

Sally M,
I will not comment on the pros and cons of life in Louisville at this point. However, I must point out that my primary motivation in moving back to the "Ville" is that two years was just too long to be away from my wife. I am happy to be here and will attempt to approach matters with an upbeat and positive aura this time around. Yet, I will continue to look at "everything" with a critical and evaluative eye. It is my nature.

Dear Phil,

Again, welcome back! Of course, I think you are really just a closeted Louisville aficianado.

Or ... color me just having fun with you!

Yea, I am kind of concerned about living in the burbs, but Donna fell in love with a house in the Sutherland sub-division (sub-division = Yikes!), and I figured after my exodus of two years, she deserves to get what she wants. It is somewhat of a cool house though, even though the structure is surrounded by an American mercantile architectural creation that I loathe - the mini mansion! We will have to make the best of it and surround ourselves with as many urban barriers as is allowed by the dreaded HOA. Once downtown develops into its potential, I will pull Donna with all my might to a home with urban energy.

Thanks again for your welcome, and I continue to marvel in the great cooking, dining, and inbibing that Louisville has to offer. It is a great town to get stuffed and drunk in! (I hope that doesn't sound too crude.)

Welcome back, Phil; and give Prospect a chance--you may discover it has quite a bit to offer.
